I Write My Own Songs – Akesse Brempong

Reggae artist Akesse Brempong has revealed that contrary to speculations that like other musicians his songs are written for him, he writes his songs.

The artiste made this known on Tuesday, October 3 during an exclusive interview on Adom TV’s Pampamso programme.

Akesse added that he is usually inspired by his personal life experiences and that forms the source of his songs.

He also shared light on the inspiration behind his song ‘God is working.’

He noted that the song came out of an experience he had with the wife when after 4 years of marriage they had not given birth and the community had used to laugh at him and the wife.

God is working is one of the hit songs of Akesse Brempong and for some time now has been part of the top 5 Gospel songs in the country.

Akesse is scheduled to perform at Adom praise 2017 to be hosted at Perez chapel where Akesse promises an exiting night on Friday
